“PREVENTIONED IN THE TEMPTATION”

“Be wise and stay tuned, because his enemy is the devil, and he walks like a roaring lion, looking for whom to devour.”
(1 Peter 5: 8)

What happens when we suffer an accident, for a mistake made, for an inattention or for something that is beyond our control? Most likely, in a new risk situation such as that experienced, we are less confident and more prevented in taking the appropriate steps so that this situation is not repeated.

In the same way that with our daily problems, in which we try not to incur a second chance, we must proceed in our spiritual life; keep attentive and vigilant to the people, stimule and situations that try to separate us from the way of GOD and fall into temptation.

Peter warns believers not to slip unconsciously through life, but to watch over. We must remain active, resisting temptation and standing firm in our faith. But it is not something we must do on our own, but GOD promises to be by our side and affirm, strengthen and establish ourselves in the faith.

Let us trust in the LORD and ask him for strength and attention to keep us alert, to temptations.

Beloved LORD, strengthen our spirit to overcome temptation, increase our perseverance to follow the path of Your statutes, renew our desire every day to serve you with constancy and faithfulness; and bless us always in every step we take, guiding us with Your fatherly and kindly hand along the paths of good.
